EU's HRC imports increased in April

According to the statistics, the EU's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports in April increased by 47% compared to the previous month.

However, it was amounted to 837,000 tons with a decrease of 5.4% compared to the previous year of the same month.

The main reason for the monthly increase was the increased demand for replenishment from December 2022 to February 2023.

During this period, the EU's HRC imports from India accounted for the largest share, with an annual increase of 30.6 percent, at approximately 159,900 tons. Egypt ranked second with 99,700 tons, up 158% year on year. Egypt was followed by Japan with 94,200 tons with an annual increase of 51.2%.
