European producers started to discuss price increases, citing global markets. Although the upward trend in the international long product market encouraged European suppliers to increase prices, there was no demand in the market to support price increases due to sufficient stocks and slow construction activities.
According to the new week's data, there was no increase in rebar and wire rod prices in Europe. Rebar, which was announced as 750 euros in Germany last week, is trading at the same price. It was noted that the wire rod price in Italy, which was announced as 690 euros this week, has decreased by 10 euros since last week.
Sources in the market predict that demand will increase and long product prices will recover due to the approach of the construction season.
