Erdoğan signs election decision: Turkey goes to elections on May 14!

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree on the renewal of presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14. The decision was published in the duplicate issue of the Official Gazette.

Erdogan signed a decree to renew the elections on May 14. The decision was published in the duplicate issue of the Official Gazette and entered into force.
"With the authority given by Article 116 of our Constitution, I have signed the decision to renew the elections on May 14, which should be held on June 18, 2023," Erdogan said.
Erdoğan stated that after the relevant decision is published in the Official Gazette, the Supreme Election Board (YSK) will start the 2-month election calendar.
YSK President Yener reported that they have decided that the general election of deputies and the election of the President of the Republic will be held on May 14, and if the election of the President of the Republic goes to the second round, on May 28.
Erdoğan stated that everyone who will apply to the AK Party as a deputy will deposit the amount to be determined as a donation to AFAD accounts.
Erdogan said his campaigns would be without music.
