Under the program, enterprises that meet defined performance criteria will receive cash grant support equal to %30 of their annual energy expenses in the year of application.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the EKA Support Program aims to incentivize industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and service sector companies to reduce energy intensity, specific energy consumption, and carbon emission intensity.
The program targets improving energy efficiency, reducing production costs for businesses, strengthening international competitiveness, and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Carbon emission criteria to be prioritized in 2026
In 2026, when Türkiye will host the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, carbon emission intensity will be prioritized as the key evaluation criterion.
Among applications, companies achieving the highest carbon reduction performance will be eligible for support. Within this scope, grants will be provided to the top 10 enterprises from the industrial sector and the top 10 companies from the commercial buildings and services sector, totaling 20 beneficiaries.
Businesses that meet the performance criteria will receive cash grants equivalent to %30 of their annual energy expenses.
Support ceiling exceeds TRY 18 million
For 2026, the support ceiling under the EKA Program has been set at TRY 18,061,775. The grant amount will be updated annually based on the revaluation rate.
Applications will be submitted electronically via the Energy Efficiency Support Management System (EVDES), integrated with e-Government.
Following technical evaluation and verification processes, eligible companies will be selected for support within budget limits based on performance criteria.
Investment and performance supported together
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources continues to provide up to %30 grant support for energy efficiency investments under the ongoing Productivity Increasing Projects (VAP) Support Program, with a ceiling of up to TRY 27,092,663.
With the introduction of the EKA Support Program, businesses will be able to benefit from VAP support during the investment phase and receive additional support under the EKA Program based on achieved energy efficiency and carbon reduction performance after implementation. This establishes a new incentive mechanism that supports both investment and performance outcomes.
