EMSTEEL and TII signed agreement to develop high strength steel

One of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) leading steel producers, EMSTEEL, has announced that it has launched a strategic collaboration with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) to develop high strength steel solutions for the country’s critical infrastructure projects.

EMSTEEL and TII signed agreement to develop high strength steel

In a statement by EMSTEEL, it was noted that the company’s expertise in production will be combined with TII’s world-class research and development capabilities.

As part of the collaboration, it was stated that the validation and development work of ES600—considered one of the UAE’s highest-strength steels—will be taken further.

The statement also emphasized that the partnership will lead to the development of next-generation reinforcement (rebar) solutions. These efforts are expected to contribute to strengthening local capabilities, increasing national knowledge, and enhancing the contribution of UAE-produced steel to the country’s infrastructure resilience and sustainable economic growth.

EMSTEEL further noted that this collaboration will not only support the development of high-performance steel products, but will also contribute to strengthening the local technology ecosystem that supports the UAE’s industrial, innovation, and sustainability goals.
