El Marakby Steel expands production activities

El Marakby Steel started its business since 1960 by serving customers with distribution and supply of steel products all over the country.

Elmarakby Steel by built a rebar rolling mill in 2006/2007, increasing its annual production capacity in sizes 10 – 32 mm according to British and American standards to over 250,000 tons. İn addition, started billet production in 2016 and increased its annual capacity to 350,000 tons. The produced billet was exported in large quantities as well as being sold in the domestic market. Beside exporting to Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, it supplies the country's iconic projects.

In 2019, El Marakby steel commissioned a new rolling mill and started to produce 400,000 tons of 10 – 40 mm rebars and 5.5 – 12 mm diameter wire rods annually.

The 4 subsidiaries of the firm are: El Marakby Trading, El Marakby Metallic industry, El Marakby Steel and 6th of October Steel Marketing.

El Marakby Steel and El Marakby Metallic industry are the only two companies in Egypt to receive the Egyptian quality mark in the field of iron and steel industry, which gives great confidence in their products.
