According to the statement published on the official website of the General Directorate of EIA Permit and Inspection under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the EIA report prepared for the “İsdemir Şırnak SPP” project was reviewed and approved by the relevant commission.
The project, which was given a positive decision by taking into account the opinions of the public, is planned to have an installed capacity of 191 MWm / 191 MWp and a production capacity of 130 MWe on 101 block 1 parcel in Duruköy, İdil district of Şırnak province. The project area covers an area of approximately 187.8 hectares.
Following the “EIA affirmative” decision issued by the Ministry, it was announced that the Şırnak Governorship should publicize the decision. Within the scope of the project, full compliance with the conditions specified in the Final EIA Report and environmental legislation and obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant institutions will be mandatory.
