Dofasco and NLMK USA increase steel prices. Dofasco, a blast furnace-based company, has increased prices for hot-rolled coils to $1,200 per ton ($900 per ton) and hot-dip galvanized coils to $1,460 per ton.
Prices of galvanized annealed steel sheet increased to 1,470 C per ton, while galvanized steel prices amounted to 1,500 C per ton.
The latest price increase published by the steel producer was 65 Canadian dollars per ton. A minimum price has not yet been determined.
NLMK USA increased its base prices by $50 per tonne. The company's focus on the minimum price for rolls, which was previously $875 per ton, means a new minimum price of $925 per ton.
