According to the company’s statement, the move aligns with Derichebourg’s global growth strategy, particularly in the metal recycling segment.
With a long-established history, Scholz generated EUR 1.6 billion in revenue in 2025 and processed over 3 million tons of recycled materials. The company operates a broad global network with 180 facilities and more than 3,500 employees.
The sale process was completed through a competitive bidding procedure involving multiple parties, including Scholz’s parent company, Chiho Environmental Group.
Derichebourg plans to finance the acquisition through its existing financial resources and available credit lines. The transaction is expected to support the company’s profitability in the medium term following completion.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the acquisition is expected to be finalized in the second half of 2026.
