The Italy-based steel machinery manufacturer Danieli was awarded the contract by Henan Fengbao Special Steel Co., Ltd., located in Henan province, China, to supply a new CCM for high alloy round billets.
The three strand caster will be capable of producing ultra large, high alloy round billets up to 1000 mm in diameter. The steels to be produced include special grades such as P91 and P92, which meet high mechanical standards. These steels will be used in the production of pressure pipelines and critical components in the power, petroleum, chemical, and metallurgical industries.
Danieli’s scope of supply includes complete core-area design, key equipment supply, and full Danieli Automation L1 and L2 systems.
This order marks the eighth ultra large round billet caster order Danieli has received from China in recent years, reinforcing the company’s strong position in the Chinese market.
