As of June 16, price movements in the Turkish long steel market were mainly observed in the rebar segment, while billet and wire rod markets maintained a generally stable trend. No price changes were reported in the section market. Market participants noted that purchases continue to be largely demand-driven due to persistently weak demand conditions.
Rebar
In the spot market, rebar prices increased by TRY 100/ton in both Istanbul and Izmir, while Karabük recorded a more significant rise of TRY 500/ton. In contrast, prices in the Payas region declined by TRY 100/ton. On the producer side, offers remained at around $605/ton in the Marmara region, $580/ton in the Izmir region, and $585-590/ton in the Iskenderun region.
