As of 27 July, Türkiye's long steel market continued to be supported by firm producer pricing, although regional differences persisted in the spot market.

Daily analysis of Turkish long products | July 27, 2026

Producer prices continued their upward trend, while the spot market showed mixed regional performance. Marmara producers raised their offers to USD 595/ton, and prices in the İskenderun region also increased. In the spot market, prices moved higher in Istanbul but declined in Karabük and Payas. Limited availability of certain rebar sizes in Karabük and Payas remained one of the key developments of the day. Meanwhile, imported billet and structural steel prices remained unchanged, while Ege Çelik's one-day wire rod campaign brought some activity to the market.

Market Overview

As of 27 July, Türkiye's long steel market continued to be supported by firm producer pricing, although regional differences persisted in the spot market. While producers in Marmara and the İskenderun region increased their offers, spot prices rose only in Istanbul and declined in Karabük and Payas. Although limited availability of certain rebar diameters in these two regions pointed to supply constraints, weak demand prevented this from translating into higher spot prices.

The imported billet market remained steady at USD 490/ton CFR Türkiye, while Kardemir continued to keep its sales closed, reinforcing the market's cautious sentiment. In the wire rod segment, Ege Çelik's one-day promotional offer at USD 585/ton was the day's most notable development, highlighting increased competition. Overall, the Turkish long steel market continued to balance producers' efforts to support prices against subdued end-user demand.
