According to data provided by the German steelmakers' federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl), crude steel production fell 8.8% y-o-y to 2.88 million tons in October this year.
Germany's pig iron production fell by 4.7% to 1.86 million tons in October. In the January-October period, it decreased by 0.4% to 19.94 million tons.
The country's hot rolled steel production decreased by 2.2% yoy to 2.52 million tons in October. In the first ten months of this year, it fell by 4.7% to 26.07 million tons.
