Consumer confidence index declines

The consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, decreased by 2.9 percent in March compared to the previous month; The index, which was 82.5 in February, dropped to 80.1 in March.

The consumer tendency survey was not conducted in the provinces of Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya and Osmaniye, which were affected by the earthquake disaster.
