The construction sector in the UK recorded the fastest growth in the last 4 months in November.

The construction industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), released by IHS Markit/CIPS, rose to 55.5 last month. The construction sector PMI data, which was 54.6 in October, reached the highest level of the last 4 months in November.

In the PMI data, which is considered as the leading data, above 50 is considered as sectoral growth and below 50 is considered as contraction.

In the statement made by IHS Markit/CIPS, it was stated that the worst period regarding the supply problem in the construction industry since the summer months may have been left behind.

It was stated in the statement that price increases in England also affected the construction sector, and it was noted that 72 percent of construction companies shared the information that there were cost increases in construction materials.
