The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has released seasonally adjusted construction production data for the EU and the Eurozone for July.
Accordingly, construction production in the 19-member Eurozone increased by 0.1 percent in July compared to June. Construction production increased by 3.3 percent compared to July 2020.
Construction production in the EU, on the other hand, decreased by 0.1 percent in July compared to the previous month, and increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
Among EU countries, the highest increase in construction production in July compared to the previous month was measured in France and Sweden with 1.3 percent, and Germany with 1.1 percent.
The highest decreases were in Slovenia with 3.9 percent, Romania with 3.5 percent and Austria with 3.4 percent.
