Cold rolled steel imports decreased in the USA on m-o-m and y-o-y. In January 2023, it amounted to 105,100 tons, a decrease of about 11% compared to December 2022 and about 36% compared to January 2022.
Imports from Canada amounted to about 35,000 tons, from Mexico about 26,000 tons, from Australia about 11,200 tons, and from Sweden about 10,300 tons.
The value of imports decreased by 13.9% monthly and 53.5% annually to about USD 110 million.
