To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Çolakoğlu Metalurji held the grand finale of a special knowledge and culture competition at the Kocaeli Congress Center, under the auspices of the Kocaeli Governorship and in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
Speaking on behalf of Çolakoğlu Metalurji at the opening of the event, Çolakoğlu Metalurji Coordinator Cahit Aşkın said, “This special event, held in honor of our 80th anniversary, is a clear indication that we will continue to contribute to the education of future generations.”
Kocaeli Provincial Director of National Education Ömer Akmanşen also delivered remarks at the final of the competition: “First of all, I would like to congratulate the Çolakoğlu Metalurji family on their 80th anniversary. This competition will remain a valuable and memorable experience for our students who are here today, and it will go down in history. I thank Çolakoğlu Metalurji for supporting this meaningful event, which was dedicated to the 105th anniversary of April 23, and I wish all our students continued success.”
Gebze Mustafa Üstündağ Middle School Crowned Kocaeli Champion
Students from 12 schools who qualified for the final competed by answering questions in Turkish, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, and general knowledge. All students who ranked in the competition were awarded laptops, tablets, and computers by Çolakoğlu Metalurji. The first prize was awarded to Gebze Mustafa Üstündağ Middle School by Kocaeli Deputy Governor Salih Bıçak. The second-place prize was presented to Darıca Mehmet Akif Middle School by Provincial Director of National Education Ömer Akmanşen, and the third-place prize was awarded to Başiskele Aydınkent Middle School by Çolakoğlu Metalurji’s Director of Human Resources and Corporate Communications, Kazım Selim Özkan.
