Inclement weather, supply constraints in Australia and other adverse factors caused to a decrease in Australian coking coal exports. According to the data, coking coal exports in February 2023 amounted to 9.13 million tons, down about 15% m-o-m.
Exports to India decreased by 50% m-o-m, exports to Japan decreased by 45% m-o-m, while exports to the EU increased by 41% m-o-m.
