Cleveland-Cliffs has increased its hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices to $900/short ton, joining rival US Steel. This price is $100 higher than the previous minimum set on 19 October.
Cliffs also raised cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil pricing but did not announce minimum prices for those products. US Midwest and southern HRC ex-works assessments are at $800/st. HRC futures prices for December rose by $9/st to $996/st, while January prices rose by $19/st to $1,003/st.
