Prices for flat rolled products were increased by USD 60 on November 28, while the price of hot rolled coil (HRC) was increased to USD 750 by the company. It led other North American steelmakers to follow suit.
On the other hand, there may be an increase before the Christmas holiday that market participants expect. However, steel demand in the US is still calm and the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays are expected to bring a broad slowdown to the market.
