China's stainless steel imports increased in July

During the period, China exported approximately 360,000 tons of stainless steel, up 4.8% from the previous month and down 13.5% from the same period last year. 

In the first seven months of this year, China's stainless steel imports totaled approximately 980,000 tons, down 47.4% from the same period last year. Exports amounted to about 2.4 million tons, down 15.4% year on year.

At present, stainless steel prices in China continue to be high, with a significant increase in transaction volume. It has been estimated that China's apparent stainless steel consumption in August will reach approximately 2.87 million tons, up 40,000 tons from the previous month.
