This figure reflects a decrease of 3.7% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same period last year. Pig iron production decreased by 3.3% monthly and 2.8% annually, reaching 69.2 million tons. Finished steel production was recorded at 113.7 million tonnes, a decrease of 3.5% month on month, but an increase of 3% on an annual basis.
In the first ten months of this year, China's crude steel and pig iron production amounted to approximately 875 million tons and 774.8 million tons, respectively, representing an increase of 1.4% and 2.3%, respectively, compared to the previous year. Finished steel production reached approximately 1.1 billion tons, with an annual growth of 5.7%.
