Chinese heavy steel plate export prices have declined slightly in the past week until Tuesday, October 19, due to weak trade, driven by a combination of higher offers, weak demand and costly freight.
Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for heavy steel plate for December shipment, export, fob Chinese main port was $920-930 per ton on Tuesday, down $5-10 per ton from a week ago.
Inner Mongolia's Baotou Iron & Steel is offering heavy plate for December shipment at around $920 per fob this week, sources said on Tuesday.
