China Shagang Steel has updated its scrap purchase prices after a 3-month hiatus due to the improvement in steel demand and sales. It increased its scrap purchase prices by RMB 100/ton ($15/t), effective August 1. Prices for HMS (6-10mm) are at RMB 2,770/ton ($411/ton) delivered to the center including 13% VAT.
