Chadormalu, Arfa, and Sarmad secure steel supply deal for Iraqi market

In a significant development for the regional steel industry, Chadormalu, Arfa, and Sarmad Abarkoh Mining and Industrial Companies have formalized their entry into the Iraqi market through a newly signed memorandum of understanding. The agreement, inked at the Baghdad Construction Industry and Investment Exhibition, will see these companies supplying a substantial volume of steel products to Iraq on a monthly basis.

The signing took place at Chadormalu’s exhibition booth, where the deal was concluded between Ali Nasiri, Mustafa Chamran, and Mohammad Ali Rahimi, the commercial assistants of the three companies, alongside the buyer. Under the agreement, the companies will collectively supply 20,000 tons of billets, 15,000 tons of rebar, 10,000 tons of sponge iron, and 5,000 tons of coils each month at a mutually agreed price.

This partnership is expected to bolster Iraq’s construction and infrastructure sectors, addressing growing demand while strengthening commercial ties between the two nations. With regional steel markets facing supply challenges, the entry of these companies into Iraq is poised to bring new opportunities for industrial expansion and trade cooperation.
