Organized for the second time this year by SteelRadar at Swissôtel Resort & Spa in Çeşme, İzmir, the summit began with strong participation from industry representatives around the world. The event, where the global dynamics and future of the sector were discussed, brought together more than 400 participants and over 200 company representatives.
Cem Öztüre: “We Are Hosting Industry Representatives from 25 Countries”
Addressing participants at the opening of the summit, Cem Öztüre pointed out that international interest in the organization was exceptionally strong this year. Expressing pride in bringing together the key players of the global steel market under one roof, Öztüre said:
“This year, we have guests from a very wide geography and from many different countries. We are hosting more than 125 international participants from a total of 25 countries, including Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Algeria, Switzerland, and Belgium, here in İzmir. This strong interest from the sector makes us very happy.”
This Year’s Motto of the Summit: “Friendship”
In his speech, Cem Öztüre underlined that the iron and steel industry is not only about numbers and commercial activities and announced that this year’s summit motto was determined as “friendship.”
Stating that the relationships built among sector stakeholders over the years have a deep-rooted history, Öztüre emphasized that the bonds established throughout this process are based not only on business partnerships but also on very strong human connections.
Continuing his speech by mentioning individuals he met in the iron and steel industry who played an important role and became turning points in his life, Cem Öztüre added that these sincere and trust-based human relationships are among the most important driving forces behind the development and sustainability of the global steel industry.
