British Steel has signed a major deal to upgrade the rail line at a mine in Guinea. Steel produced at Scunthorpe, home to the firm's railway expertise, will travel to West Africa with a total of 244,000 units. The equivalent of this figure is more than 20,000 tons of steel.
British Steel's rail export sales manager, said: "This is great news for our business, especially given the high level of competition we are facing to secure this contract".
