Brazil produced about 2.24 million tons of pig iron in March
In March this year, Brazil's pig iron production stood at about 2.24 million tons, an increase of 7.6% compared to February and a decrease of 1.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the first three months of 2023, Brazil's pig iron production decreased by 1.3% y-o-y to 6.6 million tons.
Pig iron export volume increased on a monthly and yearly basis
In March this year, Brazil's pig iron export volume increased by 111% compared to February and by 39% compared to the same period of the previous year and stood at about 437,500 tons.
In the first three months of this year, pig iron exports increased by 882,000% y-o-y to about 8.4 tons.
