Brazilian mining company Vale aims to increase sintered ore production to 50-55 million tons for 2026 and about 100 million tons for 2030. After the supply problems, the average premium for higher quality standards will be increased to $8-12 per metric ton in 2026. The company's sintered ore production in 2022 was 32 million tons.
Vale's iron ore production in 2022 decreased by 2% compared to the same period of the previous year to 308 million tons, and iron ore pellets production increased by 12% to 32 million tons.
The company's net income for 2022 decreased by 32.4% y-o-y and its net profit decreased by 30.4% y-o-y between October and December 2022.
