According to the analysis compiled by SteelRadar from the steel export data of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (İMMİB) according to country and regional groups, there are remarkable changes in world steel exports. According to the September analysis of 2022-2023, while steel exports decreased in 128 of 201 countries and regions in the steel export rankings, an increase was observed in 73.

European Union countries continue to lead the ranking. European Countries, which exported steel worth 606,531,953.79 dollars in September 2022, exported 460,741,753.33 dollars worth, a decrease of 24.04% in the same period of this year.

The Near East and Middle East Asia regions maintain their second place. Steel export figures, which were 333,356,831.84 dollars in 2022, decreased by 12.91% to 290,309,326.68 dollars in 2023.

Among other European countries, Romania's steel exports decreased by 23.17% to 116,754,228.58 dollars.

There was a decrease of 12.43% in North Africa, which ranked 4th on the list. The export figure, which was 158,121,457.30 dollars in September 2022, decreased by 12.43% to 138,463,045.01 dollars in September 2023.

Yemen, on the other hand, experienced a big jump in steel exports and ranked 22nd in 2022, and rose to 8th place with an increase of 102.42% in 2023.

The Central and South American regions, which ranked 7th on the list with an export figure of 116,959,692.75 dollars in September last year, experienced a decrease of 36.68% this year, exporting 74,062,304.24 dollars and falling to the 9th place.

Germany, on the other hand, rises from 11th to 10th place, despite reaching an export figure of 66,5855,419.85 dollars with a decrease of 8.57% in 1 year.

24.31% decrease in China

China, which ranked 95th on the list with 2,940,562.53 dollars in September last year, rose to 85th place on the list despite reaching an export figure of 2,225,589.46 dollars with a decrease of 24.31% in the same month of this year.

The highest increase is in South Sudan

Among 201 countries and regions, the country whose exports increased the most is South Sudan. South Sudan, which ranked 187th with an export figure of 1,463.66 dollars in September 2022, rose to 120th place with 884,219.57 dollars, recording an increase of 60,311.54% in the same month of this year.

Most casualties in Africa

While the country of Sao Tome and Principe, located in Central Africa, reached an export figure of 173,228.12 dollars in September 2022, this figure decreased by 99.11% to 1,533.73 dollars in September 2023. The country of Sao Tome and Principe took its place in the list as the country with the highest decrease, falling from 158th to 198th place.

Despite all these changes, while the total steel export figure of 201 countries and regions was 1,755,212,415.89 dollars in 2022, this figure decreased by 21.41% to 1,379,349,523.59 dollars in September of this year, reflecting the changes in the dynamics of international steel trade. reflects.
