Automotive industry realized the highest exports in Turkiye in November

In November, the highest export increase compared to the same period last year was realized in ship yacht and services with 372 percent.

Last month, exports of 16 billion 204 million 542 thousand dollars were made with an increase of 5 percent in the industrial group, which realized 70.4 percent of Turkiye's total exports.

In the agricultural group, which accounts for 14.5 percent of total exports, exports of 3 billion 342 million 917 thousand dollars with an increase of 0.8 percent, and 483 million 272 thousand dollars with a decrease of 4 percent in the mining group, which has a share of 2.1 percent.

Most exports were made to Germany

In the ranking of the countries with the highest exports in November, Germany was at the top with 1 billion 512 million 403 thousand dollars, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 1 billion 124 million 219 thousand dollars and the USA with 1 billion 67 million 992 thousand dollars.

The top 3 cities with the highest exports last month were Istanbul with 8 billion 719 million 808 thousand dollars, Kocaeli with 1 billion 654 million 667 thousand dollars and Bursa with 1 billion 493 million 704 thousand dollars.

Chemical sector is the second most exporting sector

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the chemical sector, which realized exports of 2.8 billion dollars, became the second sector with the highest exports in November.

In the statement made by Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB), İKMİB Chairman Adil Pelister evaluated the export data of the sector and said:

"In November, our chemical sector realized exports of 2.8 billion dollars with an increase of 11.9 percent and received a share of 12.5 percent from our country's exports. The exports of our sector in the January-November period reached 28 billion dollars. This year has been a challenging year for both our country and the global economy. Despite this, we expect our chemical industry, which showed an increase performance in the last quarter of the year compared to last year, to exceed 30 billion dollars in year-end exports. After our export record of 33.6 billion dollars last year, it is very important to exceed the 30 billion dollar figure this year despite all the challenging conditions. As İKMİB, we will continue to contribute to the increase in the exports of our sector and to the acquisition of new markets with the fair national participation organizations, trade and procurement delegations and Development of International Competitiveness Projects."
