According to sources, the coal production of the Australian company New Hope amounted to 10.1 million tons in 2020-2021 and 8.84 million tons in 2021-2022. The company plans to ship 7.93 million tons of coal for 2022-2023.
Despite the low production, New Hope has decided to restart its growth plans for the August 2023-July 2024 financial year. According to the company's plans, the first sale of coal will be sent from the New Acland mine. The sale is expected to take place between August and October.
