Arvedi Group prepares to outsource its operations in Türkiye to a local company

Arvedi Group, an Italian steel producer, is planning to dispose of AST Türkiye, to Sarıtaş Çelik (Sarıtaş Steel). AST Türkiye, located in the industrial zone in Gebze, has an annual stainless steel processing capacity of over 30,000 tons and supplies products to a wide range of sectors from automotive to appliances.

According to some sources, AST's assets, which were acquired by Thyssenkrupp in 2021, were later integrated into Acciai Speciali Terni, a German company owned by the Arvedi Group. Sarıtaş Steel is known as Türkiye's leading stainless steel processing service center and industrial depot complex with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons and is expected to further dominate the domestic market with its wide range of stainless flat steel products.
