Global steel giant ArcelorMittal announced that it has cancelled 77,809,772 treasury shares as of yesterday. Following the cancellation, the company still holds approximately 14.4 million treasury shares, which will be used to fulfill obligations related to its Long-Term Incentive Plan.
As a result of this move, the total number of outstanding shares has decreased from 852,809,772 to 775,000,000.
