American Heavy Plates, renowned for its manufacturing and distribution of heavy carbon and alloy steel plates, has unveiled a significant expansion project for its facility in Clarington, Ohio.

American Heavy Plates to invest $10 million in Ohio facility expansion

The company plans to invest $10 million to boost its manufacturing capabilities, including a substantial $9.9 million for a new finishing facility, complemented by an additional $1 million allocated for enhancements to current infrastructure.

The expansion is supported through partnerships with several regional economic development entities, including JobsOhio, the Ohio Department of Development, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Monroe County Port Authority. These collaborations aim to increase the plant's production capacity.

Although it was founded a few years ago, American Heavy Plates has quickly established itself as a leader in its field due to its highly efficient production methods. With the support of a tax credit and a financial grant from JobsOhio, this project not only promises to bring state-of-the-art machinery to the facility but also to generate numerous job opportunities.
