Algerian Qatari Steel achieved exports of 56,500 tons

As part of the shipments carried out by the company, 28,000 tons of billets were exported to the Dominican Republic in South America (first export operation), 7,500 tons of wire rod were shipped to Belgium via Skikda Port, and 21,000 tons of billets were sent to Italy through Annaba Port.

In its evaluation, the company stated that these shipments represent a historic day for Algerian Qatari Steel and that the operations have also received wide attention on social media.

Increase in domestic demand

According to company sources, a notable increase in local demand has been observed, particularly in the rebar segment. It was also stated that new financing provided for AADL housing projects is expected to further increase domestic demand in the coming period.

Market evaluations indicated that prices at all levels, including Algerian Qatari Steel and Tosyalı, have increased. This rise is considered to be driven by both export demand and the strong outlook in the domestic market.
