According to a statement from Alfa Acciai, one of Italy's leading rebar producers, the company will cease operations from 10 March to prevent COVID-19 from further affecting factories.
Although they have taken some measures to protect workers, the company still decided to shut down just in case.
Spokespersons for Alfa Acciai also stated that they will do their best to resume work as soon as possible.
