7 Steel Nordic completes first rebar shipment to the Czech Republic

7 Steel Nordic Manufacturing has marked the start of a new market channel for the company by delivering its first batch of steel products to a customer in the Czech Republic. The material was produced at its rolling mill in Mo i Rana, Norway.

7 Steel Nordic completes first rebar shipment to the Czech Republic

The initial shipment consists of approximately 1,200 tonnes of rebar and wire rod, serving as a trial delivery within the company’s European expansion strategy.

This move is considered part of the long-term strategy of the Czech-owned Sev.en Global Investments to establish the Czech Republic as an export market for rebar produced in Mo i Rana. The preparation process included participation in a homologation program throughout 2025 to meet local technical and complementary requirements.

The current shipment, produced in the first quarter of 2026, has been recorded as the first delivery under this initiative.

Expansion plans in the European market

The company plans to gradually expand its presence in the Czech market in the coming years, in line with expected growth in production. This expansion also supports Sev.en Global Investments’ strategy of introducing low-emission steel to new European markets.

As 7 Steel Nordic develops a long-term supply channel between Norway and the Czech Republic, further shipments are expected in the future.

About the company

The company is part of the 7 Steel Nordic group, which was acquired by Sev.en Global Investments in 2025 and has a total capacity of approximately 2 million tonnes across its operations in Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.
