Habaş receives ministry approval for 1 million 250 thousand tons capacity hot rolling mill plant

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has approved Habaş's hot rolling mill plant with a capacity of 1 million 250 thousand tons.

Habaş Sınai ve Tıbbi Gazlar İstihsal Endüstrisi Şirketi, which operates in Aliağa, Izmir's industrial city, applied to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process as part of its growth plans. In this process, which concluded recently, the Ministry approved Habaş's project to build a hot rolling mill with a capacity of 1 million 250 thousand tons.

The company aims to build a hot rolling mill facility by investing 94.5 million TL on its own 35,800 square meter parcels 352, 353, 357 and 359. The plant will have an annual capacity of 1 million 250 thousand tons and will produce flat and rebar and wire rod (coil) in various sizes. The necessary raw materials will be supplied from the steel mill plant.
