H2 Green Steel signs 7-year agreement with Purmo Group for the supply of low carbon steel

H2 Green Steel will deliver 140,000 mt of green steel to Purmo Group between 2026 and 2033, the companies said on 6 November. Steel accounts for about 50 per cent of all raw materials purchased by Purmo Group.

John Peter Leesi, CEO of Purmo Group, said: "We will be a pioneer in our industry by securing the supply of green steel and starting the production of green steel products. Our customers are demanding new and more energy efficient heating and cooling systems and Purmo Group is well positioned to meet this growing demand."

Purmo Group's decision to source green steel from H2 Green Steel is part of their goal to steer their production towards a 1.5C future and carbon neutrality by 2025.

H2 Green Steel has entered into many purchasing agreements with steel buyers from different industries as the demand for low carbon steel increases in different sectors.
