Global stainless steel production decreased 5.1% in the January-September period

Global stainless steel production in the January-September period of this year decreased 5.1% year on year to 41.9 million tons.

During this period, stainless steel production in the European market decreased by 11% year on year to 4,809 million tons. Stainless steel production in the US decreased 13 percent year on year to 1,589 million tons.

Stainless steel production in China decreased 5% year on year to 24,936 million tons. The overall stainless steel production of other Asian countries decreased 0.4 percent year on year to 5,746 million tons.
