Germany's crude steel production increased by 8.6% in November 2024 compared to the same month last year.

Germany's crude steel production increased by 8.6% in November

Data compiled by SteelRadar from Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (German Steel Federation) show that Germany's crude steel production increased by 8.6% year-on-year to 2.909 million tons in November 2024. In the January-October period, production reached 34.490 million tons, up 5.3% compared to last year.

In November, Germany increased its BOF steel production by 8.4% to 1.960 million tons. In the January-November period, BOF production increased by 3% to 24.189 million tons. EAF production, on the other hand, increased by 9% to 949 thousand tons in November and reached 10.301 million tons in the first 10 months of the year, up 10.9%.

Pig iron production also increased by 7.7% to 1.885 million tons in November. In the January-November period, production increased by 2.7% to 22.284 million tons.
