Fossil-fueled vehicles are declining in the U.S.A

While sales of fossil fuel-powered cars have declined in the USA since 2016, sales of electric vehicles continue to increase.

Fossil-fueled vehicles are declining in the U.S.A

Many institutions, including the European Union, had to take new steps when it was revealed that the world's leading automobile manufacturers were changing their emission values using software.

In addition, country governments apply various incentives to reset emission values and increase sales of electric vehicles.

The highest number of fossil fuel vehicle sales in US history was in 2016, and since then sales have steadily declined.

250 THOUSAND ELECTRIC VEHICLES SOLD IN 2020
On the other hand, there has been a rapid rise in electric vehicle sales since the Tesla Model 3 went on sale in 2016. About 250,000 electric vehicles were sold in the United States in 2020, and many more are expected to be sold in 2021.

Electric vehicle sales in the USA accounted for 1.4 percent of overall vehicle sales in 2019, according to the data. In 2020, this rate increased to 1.7 percent.

While the share of electric vehicle sales in Europe is 7.6 percent, it has 9.4 percent in China.

All these figures show that the USA lags a little behind in electric vehicle sales.
