Vietnam's leading steelmaker Formosa Ha Tinh Steel has increased HRC prices for December shipments by around USD 30 per ton. The new prices are set at USD 533 per ton for HRC to be delivered to Haiphong and USD 539 per ton for deliveries to Ho Chi Minh City. According to trade sources, these rates apply to orders of 10,000 tons or more.
The pricing structure for SS400 HRC remained consistent, while SAE 1006 HRC saw a slight increase of USD 5 per ton. Formosa Ha Tinh Steel offers various prices depending on the quantity ordered.
In contrast, Hoa Phat Group recently announced a price increase of around USD 34 per ton for December shipments. A Vietnamese trader commented that this latest adjustment indicates Formosa Ha Tinh Steel's cautious approach, emphasizing reasonable sales prices rather than initially high prices that could lead to later discounts. It was noted that last month, the mill had offered a USD 10 per ton discount for orders of 20,000 tons or more.
