Formosa Ha Tinh Steel increases HRC price for May

Vietnam's Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) increased its hot rolled coil price by $95/t from April to $945-950/t. This time the price adjustment was higher than expected.

Also, the price of low-carbon wire rods increased by $52/t. The new price reached to $868/t.

FHS said that the international raw material market fluctuated greatly during the current Russia-Ukraine war. Both supply and demand have been adversely affected, and production costs have also increased. Therefore, the company decided to increase its prices, taking into account the current situation of the steel market.
