Foreign invested $2.4 billion in real estate

While Turkey attracted 1.9 billion dollars of capital investment in the first half of the year, 1.3 billion dollars of capital investment went from abroad. Foreigners invested $2.4 billion in real estate in the January-June period.

Capital invested abroad is on the rise again

Net capital investment from Turkey abroad increased to 1 billion 334 million dollars in the January-June period of this year. The outgoing capital was at the level of 811 million dollars in the same period of last year. In this item, there was an outflow of 3 billion 465 million dollars in 2018, 2 billion 699 million dollars in 2019, and 2 billion 844 million dollars in 2020.

Real estate purchase by foreigners 2.4 billion dollars

Foreign investors' interest in real estate in Turkey also does not slow down. In the six-month period, the real estate investment of foreigners among the direct investments made in Turkey increased to 2 billion 425 million dollars. In the same period of the previous year, this amount was 1 billion 774 million dollars. While the net real estate purchase of foreigners was 5 billion 915 million dollars in 2018, it was 4 billion 979 million dollars in 2019 and 4 billion 404 million dollars in 2020.

Net income $2.5 billion

In direct investments to and from Turkey, liquidation, lending, real estate, etc. As a result of the transactions, the net inflow was 2 billion 522 million dollars in the January-June period. While the net investment amount (liability formation) in Turkey was 4 billion 378 million dollars, the net foreign investment (asset acquisition) was 1 billion 856 million dollars. At the end of the first six months of the year, the ratio of outgoing investment to incoming investment was 42.39 percent. In the same period of the previous year, the rate was recorded as 29.6 percent.
