According to Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAZSTAT), in the fourth quarter of last year the volume of steel pipes from Russia to the Republic of Kazakhstan was 148 thousand tonnes. This is 31% lower than in the previous quarter, and 33% higher on an annual basis.
Kazakhstan is the top consumer of this Russian product. In total for 2023, shipments reached 800 thousand tonnes, which is twice the level of 2022. Recent years have seen peak delivery levels with revenue reaching $890 million, a 52% increase.
The supply of pipes and metal products from Russia to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries will be discussed at the "Central Asia and Transcaucasia Metals Market" conference, which will take place in Baku on April 11-12.
