Erbil Build Expo 2026, one of the region’s leading building and construction events, was held at the Erbil International Fairground from August 27 to 30.
Organized jointly by PYRAMIDS GROUP and EIF with the support of the Iraqi Government, the four-day exhibition welcomed international manufacturers, regional contractors, engineering consultants, investors, and procurement professionals.
High-level government representatives attended the opening
The exhibition officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an extensive VIP delegation tour. Representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, the Ministry of Electricity, and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals attended the opening program, along with deputy ministers responsible for trade, industry, construction, and housing.
The Governor of Erbil, the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations, the Chairman of the Investment Board, the heads of the Soran and Zakho administrations, and senior officials responsible for trade, investment, planning, construction, and electricity also participated.
Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the Importers and Exporters Union, the Investors Union, and the Contractors Union toured the exhibition alongside international diplomatic missions and executives from Pyramids Group and EIF.
During the tour, the delegations examined advanced building technologies, heavy machinery, energy and grid infrastructure systems, and modern municipal engineering solutions displayed by the exhibitors.
470 companies from 20 countries participated
Erbil Build Expo 2026 hosted 470 exhibiting companies from 20 countries. Companies operating in structural engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, construction chemicals, decorative coatings, sustainable architecture, heavy machinery, and infrastructure technologies showcased their products and solutions to industry professionals.
Throughout the exhibition, manufacturers met with regional project managers, authorized distributors, and procurement committees through B2B meetings. The discussions focused on supply opportunities and potential technical partnerships for ongoing and planned public- and private-sector infrastructure projects in Iraq.
The four-day Erbil Build Expo 2026 concluded on August 30 after supporting dialogue between the public and private sectors and providing international companies with opportunities to explore new business prospects in the Iraqi market.
