Energy costs in Europe show a rapidly rising trend. This causes an increase in production costs for steel manufacturers.
Some steel manufacturers are moving to locations where energy costs are lower.
ArcelorMittal Germany declared that it would decrease by half its production in a steel mill in Germany this month. Morever, it stated that it would expand its production centers in Texas due to the competitive and lower energy costs.
